MUSCLE-MAX is indicated for breeding performance in mares and stallions where there is a need for additional Vitamin E and Selenium.
MUSCLE-MAX is rich in the essential amino acid Lysine which is required for protein formation and is directly associated with muscle growth and development. Foals, yearlings and horses in hard training may require supplemental Lysine to meet increased demands on the muscular and lipid energy metabolisms. Lysine is also associated with immune function.
Vitamin E and Selenium perform a significant antioxidant function within the metabolism and muscle systems of the horse. Breeding, growth, training and racing increase the need for the protecting activity of antioxidants. Muscle wastage may occur if there is a deficiency of Vitamin E. Selenium works synergistically with Vitamin E.
Muscle-Max also contains B-Group vitamins and carbohydrates. B-Group vitamins help stimulate appetite and are essential for proper utilisation of feed and release of energy. Carbohydrates are a good source of energy.
