Unfortunately, even the best feeding programmes may result in poor skin and hair condition. Very often it can come as a nasty shock to discover that the improving yearling you are preparing for the sales ring, or the racehorse reaching the climax of an intensive feeding and training programme suddenly loses condition and appearance.
