EQUI-CALM For relaxation, calm and performance, naturally

Erratic, excitable behaviour can severely hamper a horse’s performance in competition, limiting their potential and making them a much less enjoyable ride. But why endure tantrums when there is an effective, easy to use solution?

B Vitamins particularly Vitamin B1 (Thiamine), have traditionally been used as a supplement for “nervy” type horses and are extremely useful for sales preparation, shows, travel, handling, and breaking. Evidence also indicates that B-group vitamins help to maintain a horse’s appetite - with loss of appetite being a primary side effect of stressful conditions.

Magnesium helps the transport systems of the body that maintain water and electrolyte concentrations both inside and outside the cell membranes, thereby maintaining normal cellular activity. Grain, which may represent a high proportion of the diet, is typically low in magnesium and a horse deficient in Magnesium tends to be very excitable, spook easily and may have a poor tolerance for work due to fatigue.

L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid that the body cannot synthesise itself and so the horse must find it from its feed and supplements. Its deficiency may not be uncommon in the modern horse’s diet. Such deficiency may be linked to increased fearfullness and bad behaviour. The proof of a deficiency can be seen when the horse responds well to his new supplement.

Equi-Calm contains nutritionally significant levels of magnesium, tryptophan (amino acid) and B-group vitamins that help to maintain the horse in a relaxed condition soon after feeding. By helping to take the ‘edge’ off the horse, completely naturally, nutritionally and legally, Equi-Calm allows for peak performance without excess excitement and hyperactivity.

What the professionals think:
“Equi-Calm really works. I’ve tried it on a number of horses and the results have been fantastic. It has made them much more rideable, but without losing their sparkle for competiton. They’re also more content in the stable and even horses that normally go off their feed when away at competition grub up well when they’re on Equi-Calm.”
Michael Ryan - Irish Olympic Event Rider

Veterinary Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Agriculture, Uppsala, Sweden, DR. CHRIS JOHNSTON DVM say’s he is very pleased with the results achieved using Foran’s Equi-Calm and has no hesitation in recommending it.

Special Note:
Equi-Calm is based on nutritional ingredients, hence its suitability for race and competition horses. Equi-Calm is dope-free and is not a veterinary sedative.
