Connolly’s RED MILLS acquire major stake in Foran Equine Products
Connolly’s Red Mills has acquired a major stake in one of Ireland’s leading equine health providers, Foran Equine Products. The recently completed deal brings together two of the equine world’s most respected entities and further broadens the range of products and services that the companies can offer clients.
Foran Equine Products has long been established in the Irish Equine industry and is world renowned. Its range caters for racehorses to show jumpers and event horses. Their team of chemists and veterinary experts has developed a science of bringing together the wisdom of the past and the technology of the future in order to produce the most superior quality products available. The company was founded by Sean Foran and was operated for many years by Sean and his late son David. The present management and staff, including Dr Vijay Sharma and David Foran’s daughter Sarah, will continue in their roles.

Connolly’s Red Mills were established in 1908 and they have steadily grown to become one of Ireland’s most successful brands, in the equine, pet and animal feeds sectors. They continue to experience strong growth in export markets. They have become the brand of choice for many significant players in the performance horse industry globally and have fed all four European winners of the Melbourne Cup. The company now exports to over 30 countries worldwide.
